Weaver No.1

£899.00

An extremely rare example of a stunning German high arm transverse shuttle machine sold by Weaver and Son in Broad Street, Bath in the 1890s. Still in beautiful condition!

This spectacular sewing machine is German engineering and quality at its finest, from the built in pin cushion to the solid brass Weaver emblem set into the bed, this machine was built to wow customers.

This Weaver No.1 comes with plenty of extras including beautiful case and key, thread, scissors, bobbins, buttons, threading instructions and attachments including pleating (ruffler) foot.

Weaver & Son were a bedding manufacturers and house furnishers in Bath, The Weaver No.1 was the first machine they licensed under their own name before later moving onto the more modern vibrating shuttle style machine. From No.4 onwards they were using the Jones made Family C.S with their name on as the transverse shuttle style machines were becoming outdated. This is an original Number one!

This museum quality Weaver No.1 has been professionally serviced by Sussex Sewing Machines and is stitch perfect and ready to sew. An amazing addition to any collection.
