This beautiful Singer 28K is a truly special little machine with a lovely bit of history behind it. It belonged to a long-time friend of the family and has clearly been cherished over the years, remaining in beautiful cosmetic condition with bright decals and a wonderfully preserved finish.

Manufactured at Singer’s Kilbowie factory in Scotland in 1930.

The Singer 28K is one of Singer’s most charming compact machines — simple, elegant, and a joy to use. Its smooth hand-crank operation makes it ideal for gentle, mindful sewing sessions, light projects, and decorative use, while still being a fully capable and usable vintage machine.

This example turns smoothly and presents exactly as you would hope, offering both character and functionality in equal measure.
