1951 Singer 15K Centenary Hand Crank Sewing Machine

A lovely 1951 Singer 15K Centenary hand crank sewing machine, manufactured at Singer’s famous Kilbowie factory in Clydebank, Scotland.

This beautiful machine proudly displays the special 1851–1951 Centenary badge, commemorating 100 years of the Singer Sewing Machine Company.

Featuring the distinctive RAF gold decals and beautifully engraved faceplate, this is a wonderful example of one of Singer’s most popular and reliable machines.

Production Batch Date: April 1951

This machine has been fully serviced and set up, ready to sew, as with all our machines. There are some scratches, pin marks and the usual signs of age and use, exactly what you would expect from a well-used but well-loved machine. These Singer 15Ks were real workhorses, built to last and to tackle just about anything!

And if you haven’t seen Alex’s famous demonstration of a Singer 15 sewing through a steel can, you’re in for a treat! Head over to YouTube and search for it. It’s quite something!

The original mock-croc carrying case has “J D KERR” painted on one end, a charming reminder of the machine’s previous ownership. We’ve deliberately left this untouched as part of its history. The case shows age-related wear, as pictured.
