Many say that the Singer model 99 (the little sister to the Singer 66 Lotus/Redeye) was the first great portable sewing machine. It came out around 1911 and was so perfect it remained hardly changed until 1960. This beauty has all the hallmarks of a well loved and cared for machine. It was made at the great Singer factory on the banks of the River Clyde in Kilbowie, Scotland.
The machine comes with lots of extras including beautiful case, key, instructions, thread, bobbins, needles as well as pleating (ruffler) foot, see pictures. A few of the usual tiny pin marks but in superb condition. Fantastic machine.
