Jones Family C.S – 1800’s Rare Floral

Very early, very rare and in fantastic condition: Jones – Family C.S – Black Hand Wheel edition. Circa 1894.

Book Feature – This actual sewing machine is featured in the book ‘JONES SEWING MACHINES – The First 100 Years‘ by Alex Askaroff. (page 7) You will receive a signed copy of the book with this machine.

This beautiful victorian cylinder shuttle sewing machine with its black japanned hand wheel is a very rare machine. With its simple grapevine style design complimented by the beautiful roses painted on the bed, it makes for simple elegance. The cylinder shuttle (C.S) is basically identical to singer’s vibrating shuttle (V.S) giving it a very smooth action with a lovely stitch.

This Stunning Jones has a very low serial number dating it to about 1894, the same year the Tower Bridge in London was opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales with great celebrations. Also the year that the city of Manchester (near Guide Bridge where the great Jones factory resided) formed their football team – Manchester City FC.

This superb central shuttle built 129 years ago machine is in stunning condition.

Fully serviced by Sussex Sewing Machines, this machine is stitch perfect and ready to go.

It comes with not only the beautiful original case and key but a host of extras including needles, attachments, instructions, thread,  and of course the signed book in which this actual machine is pictured!

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very special machine!
